Crikita

Crikita is an Abstract strategy game where two players are attempting to battle for resources!

Set Up

Each player selects a colour at random, then places their pieces onto the 
board on the side closest to them, with their opponent opposite. 
Three pieces are placed on the closest row, two on the outermost column 
and one in the centre, then on the second closest row place two pieces
above  the empty spaces of the outermost row. This forms an ‘M’ shape.

Playing the Game

Starting with the Green player, each player takes turns moving one of their
pieces and every piece that rests on top of it. You may move that piece or
stack, a number of spaces equal to size of the stack it started as in any
series of directions.  You may only move pieces from a stack that has your 
colour as the top most piece. The Green player receives an extra piece if they 
get one of their pieces to the opposite row of the board, the new piece is 
placed on top. The Blue player receives an extra piece if they make a move that 
creates a stack of 5 or more pieces, the new piece can be placed anywhere
on the opposite row.

Winning the Game

A player wins when their opponent can no longer make any moves, as all
of the pieces on the board are covered in a single colour’s pieces.

This simple to play abstract game, has an interesting depth of strategy and will keep you thinking about how you will be moving your pieces!
